Margaret Joyce Dickin was born in Beulah, Manitoba in 1918. She graduated from the United Church Training School in Toronto in 1950 and pursued Sunday School work in Toronto, then the Saskatchewan Conference, and then in Regina. She entered the ministry in 1957 after graduating with a B.A. from the University of Saskatchewan, and studying theology at St. Andrew’s College and Drew University. Rev. Dickin served eight charges in seventeen years including: Strasbourg, Radisson, Saltcoats, Semans, Regina and Houston, B.C.

McLeod, Hugh Alexander

Hugh Alexander McLeod (1894-1992) was a Presbyterian/United Church minister and Moderator of the United Church. He was born in Owen Sound, Ontario. Originally planning to pursue a career in law, he worked his way through university as a helmsman on the Great Lakes' steamboats. He served as a quartermaster aboard barges crossing the English Channel with ammunition during World War I. In 1921, he married Doreen Taggart. He was ordained a Presbyterian minister in Luseland, Saskatchewan, in 1920 and served various charges in Western Canada. In 1960, he was elected Moderator of the United Church.

Hurricane Hills Pastoral Charge

Hurricane Hills Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, as part of Qu'Appelle Presbytery and primarily consisting of the Hurricane Hills preaching place. In 1984, it joined the new Plains Presbytery, which became part of the All Native Circle Conference when it was formed, in 1989.

Moose Jaw Trinity Pastoral Charge

Moose Jaw Trinity Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, from what had previously been the Moose Jaw Wesley Methodist Circuit. Around 1960, Grandview United Church joined the charge, which was renamed Trinity-Grandview Pastoral Charge. On June 30, 2001, the joint-charge was officially dissolved and the congregations formed separate charges, including the re-formed Trinity Pastoral Charge.
