Harrison, Herbert

Herbert Harrison was a Methodist minister, whose served several Saskatchewan congregations, including North Portal, Chamberlain, Regina, Cabri, Estuary, and Cantaur. Prior to his studies, at Wesley College (1913–1914), he was received on trial at North Portal, Saskatchewan, in 1910, and served in Chamberlain (1911) and Regina (1912). Harrison was ordained in 1915 and served in Cabri (1916), Estuary (1917), and Cantaur (1918). He resigned in 1924 and left to join the Methodist Church, in England.

Hine, Ethan Riley

Ethan Riley Hine was a Methodist (probationer), stationed at North Portal when he died, in 1907. Born in Staffordshire, England, he came to Western Canada in 1906 and was stationed at the North Portal Methodist Circuit, in Saskatchewan. He died in 1907, while travelling between appointments.

Fred Martin was a Methodist minister, who served in Saskatchewan at North Portal, Dinsmore, Piapot, and Swift Current. He was received on trial at North Portal in 1908 and attended Wesley College (Winnipeg), from 1909 to 1914, before being ordained in 1915. He was minister at Piapot (1916–1917) and supplied at Swift Current (1918–1921).

F.G. Norris was a Methodist, who was received (on trial) for ministry in Estevan, 1912. He studied at Wesley College (Winnipeg), from 1913 to 1915. He served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, from 1916 to 1919.

Lane, Homer Russell

Homer Lane was a United Church minister, who served in several Saskatchewan congregations, including Carnduff, Weyburn, Carmichael (Regina), St. Andrew's (Moose Jaw), and Knox-Metropolitan (Regina).

Born in 1904, to Methodist parents, Lane studied Arts and Theology at United College, in Winnipeg, before pursuing post-graduate studies at Emmanuel College, Toronto, and receiving his Bachelor of Divinity Degree. He was ordained in 1929 and served as Boy's Work Secretary for Manitoba and Saskatchewan. He married Grace Grover in 1932. In addition to his other work, Lane also served as Assistant Secretary of the United Church Board of Evangelism and Social Services for the Prairie Region, and later became Associate Secretary of the Board. In 1950, he was elected President of Saskatchewan Conference. After his term, Lane was honoured with a Doctor of Divinity Degree from United College (Winnipeg).

Lane, Grace H. (Grover)

Grace H. Grover was a lay person active in the United Church and a writer. She was born in 1907 and educated at the University of Manitoba and at Emmanuel College. In 1932, she married Rev. Homer Russell Lane (1904–1974). She was the author of multiple books, including: "Brief Halt at Mile '50': a Half Century of Church Union" (1974); and "Saskatchewan's sturdy strands of faith" (1980). She was also women's editor for The United Church Observer.
