The organization began in 1902 in Stonewall, Manitoba. From there, the trade union spread out through rural areas of Canada. In 2002, Canada issued a commemorative stamp for the organization's 100th anniversary.

In recent years, the organization has struggled with closures of rural post offices designed to cut costs at Canada Post. Even among rural post offices that remain open, many face cuts in hours and staff.

Florida Cubans (Baseball)

Comprised of young black American players, the Cubans were a travelling baseball team playing in tournaments all over the United States and Canada.

Glenn Lynn Circle

Glenn Lynn Circle was organized by Mrs. Isabella Worden in May, 1928, in the area of the Glenn Lynn School District #333 and consisted of farm wives who, for 55 years (until 1983) raised funds for Indian Head churches through various events (teas, bazaars, etc). It discontinued in 1983.

Indian Head Methodist Church

The Indian Head Methodist Church held its first services on July 29, 1883 in the CPR Railway Station. On May 24, 1925, the congregation voted to unite with the Presbyterians into the United Church.
