Previously identified as Arcola-Estevan Presbytery sub-series (A.381.XI.D.3).
Textual records: A.381.XI.D.3.1 to 10; XXIII.SR.1935
The fonds consists of textual materials generated by Arcola-Estevan Presbytery, its secretaries, committees and related bodies, in fulfillment of their responsibilities, as outlined in the Manual of the United Church of Canada.
Contents include: meeting minutes (1951-1973); correspondence; statistics; property and treasurer’s records; the record of candidates for ministry; as well as documents from the Pastoral Charge Committee and Rural Evangelism Committee.
Original order for many of these records is unclear. Items listed under A.381.XI.D.3 were arranged sometime before 1990. Further items, under XXIII, were arranged and added in 2023.
No further accruals are expected.
Most records in the fonds were likely transferred to the archives between 1925 and 1986. Their original provenance is unclear, though administrative and committee records may have come directly from presbytery secretaries, committee members, delegates or other associated individuals.
2021-2023: description revised in MemorySask.
Microfilm copy of some records also available.
Some records may be restricted, to protect personal information.
