General note

The animal cage has the words "Downies Worlds Best Dog and Pony Shows". The building they are passing says "Mair & Sons Feed and Sale Stable". The circus was apparently that of Andrew Downie. Performing mostly in Ontario and the US northeast, internet sources say that his show was in Winnipeg on June 6, 1910 and that, before 1914 (perhaps the same 1910 tour that brought him to Winnipeg) he made "a tour of Canada from Winnipeg to the Pacific Coast"
