Biographical history

Dorothy May Miller was born in 1906 to Lt. Governor Thomas and Grace Keay Miller. She had two siblings, Dr. James Miller and Lillian Miller. She left Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan for Victoria, British Columbia in 1945. Miller worked as a medical records librarian at the Royal Jubilee Hospital until her retirement in 1971. She died March 23, 2000 in Victoria.

Scope and content

This collection contains two scrapbooks created by Dorothy May Miller. The scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings about Moose Jaw from the Moose Jaw Times Herald. The topics covered include: Moose Jaw Old Timers’ Reunions, Royal family, historical articles and pictures of Saskatchewan, among others.

This material was donated to the archives by Ruth Downs in 2010. Dr. James Miller, Dorothy May Miller’s brother, was Ruth Downs’ father.
