This fonds contains correspondence, reports, budgets, minutes, and examinations relating to the administration and activities of the Department. Also included are plans, maps and drawings.

This fonds contains correspondence and resource material relating to Dr. Kupsch's research, particularly on Frank Davies, Balfour Currie, and the Second International Polar Year; as well as both published and unpublished material from "Gold and Other Stories" and the "Musk-Ox." Additionally, there is considerable reference material relating to uranium mining and nuclear energy, documenting both sides of the ongoing debate over the use of uranium. This fonds also contains an extensive collection of images, documenting 50 years of Dr. Kupsch's field work in northern Saskatchewan and northern Canada, as well as a variety of images relating to the history of geology.

This fonds contains personal and research files on various topics, including a study of the Clwydian Range in North Wales, petrology, mineralogy, soil composition, oil and gas, sodium sulphate and soil mapping. In addition, there are a considerable number of area studies for Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and specifically the Lloydminister area, as well as 75 research reports done for private companies. There are also articles on poetry and the theatre - two of Professor Edmunds's personal interests.

This fonds contains the papers of two department heads, J.B. Mawdsley and A.R. Byers. It includes maps, charts, field notes, memoranda, reports, and photographs relating to various geological studies.

This collection contains unpublished papers presented at the Second International Potash Technolgy Conference, Hamburg, Germany, 26-29 May 1991. The Conference attracted scientists from various countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Brazil, Jordan, Spain, and the [then] USSR.

This fonds contains files relating to Professor Byers research in Northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba, specifically Amisk, Wildnest, Annabel, Waddy, Neagle, Face, Errington, Black and Pillow lakes; Flin Flon; and Missi Island.

This fonds contains a brief journal from a field season (4 June to 12 October) when Mawdsley worked for the Geological Survey of Canada, [between 1924-1929] in northern Quebec; together with memorabilia including a miner's lamp and helmet, and an embossing stamp.

This fonds documents Dr. St-Onge's professional and academic career including correspondence with colleagues, course and committee material, and photographic records. The slides are filed by year and document St-Onge's private and professional life.
