Scope and content

Photographs show civic officials and people waiting overnight inside a hallway at City Hall to be first in line for lots in the new Grosvenor Park subdivision. Identified are Mayor John D. McAskill; Alderman Bert Sears and Police Chief Jim Kettles. The caption notes that McAskill saw the line forming at 10:00 pm and invited them in to spend the night inside, "in comparative comfort".
