2. Records relating to the Board of Governors

Series includes records relating to the Board of Govenors and its committees, including correspondence of the chair and secretary, records of the Joint Consultative Committee (on Salary Matters), reports relating to agricultural research, petitions and correspondence relating to CJUS-FM, building project outlines, and land development proposals.

4. Records relating to the University Council

Series includes records relating to the Saskatoon Council (to 1974) and the University Council (after 1974), and some records relating to the General University Council, including records of the Forward Planning Committee/Planning Committee, the Interdisciplinary Committee, the Naming Committee, and the Nominations Committee; records relating to reports on student participation (Nixon and Caldwell reports) and student representatives to Council; and rationalization of new and existing programs, including language programs

5. Records relating to joint and other committees

Series includes records relating to joint committees of the Board, Senate and/or Council, and committees not reporting to any of those bodies. This includes records relating to the Deans' Council, federation and affiliation, the Joint Senate-Council Committee on Honorary Degrees, the President's Executive Committee, joint Board-Senate-Council Committee re Changes in the University Act, etc.

6. General correspondence and other material

Series includes records which do not necessarily relate to particular committee, general correspondence of the University Secretary, miscellaneous files, etc. Includes general correspondence and annual reports; records relating to academic programmes; records relating to associations; records relating to buildings; Chancellor's correspondence; Records relating to Convocation; individual files relating primarily to honorary degrees; records relating to tribute dinners; case files relating to student discipline, appeal cases, complaints, etc.; records relating to memorial services, etc.; records relating to scholarships and awards; records of search committees for senior administrators; records relating to changes to the University Act; and general/miscellaneous records.

Fonds includes records created by the University Secretary's Office; records created by and relating to the Board of Governors, the University Senate and the University Council as well as committees of those bodies; and other material relating to the governance of the university and matters in which the University Secretary had a role. Includes records created prior to 1968 (when this office was established), and some records of the Secretary of the Saskatoon Campus (1968-1974). Records relating to various topics may be found in more than one series, depending which governing bodies established relevant committees.
