Five men stand outside Thomas Sulland's Livery Feed and Sale Stable with six horses in winter. Three more men stand inside the stable. Located on the south side of 1st Avenue.
Looking east on First Avenue West. Pioneer Livery Feed & Sale Stable (Torry's Livery) on left. Horses and carriages adorn the street in front of the livery. A group of 5 men stand in the doorway of the livery and two stand on the wooden sidewalk.

The fonds contians two black and white photographs from Dagmar Flett's personal collection. One photograph is of Melfort, Saskatchewan looking south over Saskatchewan Avenue, taken from an elevator in the 1920s. The second photograph depicts cabooses stopped at the Melfort livery stable, and was taken in the 1930s.

At the left on the picture is Broadway east of first Ave. The first house is Markham's residence, next is J. C. Markham's livery barn. Next the Hudson's Bay store. Across the street 2nd. Ave., is R. A. Patricks small drug store, Yorkton's first drug store with a law office above. Next is the Carson Building with a photography shop and barber shop on the ground floor and offices above.
