It includes materials relating to research, particularly on women in society; feminist Christianity; Metis and First Nations women in northern Saskatchewan, the impact of development and the retention of native culture.
Fonds consists primarily of copies of World War Two diaries maintained by the Saskatoon Light Infantry, January 1940 to December 1944. The diaries generally include a summary of events and information for each day of the month; battalion orders part I relating to movement orders, security, protocol, etc.; part II orders listing names of regiment members under a number of different headings (strength increase/decrease, leaves, honours and awards, etc.); and field returns of officers. A few diaries include photographs. The fonds also includes a scrapbook, notebooks with lists of SLI members, the honour roll, lists of SLI members (including casualties) prepared after the war, and memoirs by Howard Mitchell, W.F. Cozens, R.J. Graham, Frederick A. Clift, R.G. Sawdon, and A Resume of the Story of 1st Battalion The Saskatoon Light Infantry (MG)

The scapbook documents the Royal Visit and Coronation, the bursar's office, general university happenings, drama and musical entertainment and wedding and other important events of family and friends.
Since 1984, Joanne Abrahamson has travelled extensively throughout Saskatchewan, and has documented virtually every city, town, village, and hamlet in the province, from Aberfeldy to Xena. Her photographs are primarily of grain elevators, schools, churches, railway stations, town offices; in some instances she has returned to a site after a period of several years, providing documentation of changes over time. A few of her images are of rural Alberta and Manitoba, with a few of the northern United States (North Dakota and Montana). In addition, she created a daily photographic journal of the demolition of the YWCA building in Saskatoon. Several of her photographs have been published.
