Logan Family fonds

This fonds consists of a journal , a photo album, a post card album and an autograph album of the Logan Family of Central Butte, predominantly Pearl Logan, kept in the late 1800's to the 1920's. Some photos are tin types, others are hand coloured. Several photos have the photographer’s identification on the back. They are from Ottawa and Winnipeg and the photos would have been taken in the late 1800's. Only one photograph is dated and identified. There is also a Bible that was presented to the Logan Family in 1909 from the Sunday School and Church in Manitou, Manitoba as a farewell gift.

It includes their farm insurance policy, Robert Carnochan Foote’s Loan for the property and the transfer of the Land Title from Robert Carnochan Foote to Mary Mackenzie. It also includes a receipt from Canadian Gulf Oil Company and correspondence regarding Western Drilling Company and Mackenzie’s land.

Mary Barber fonds contains records concerning the writing of the community history book "Parkbeg Reflections". It consists of the manuscript and typescript drafts of the family histories section of Parkbeg Reflections. There are over 350 family history drafts included. Mary Barber organized these drafts using separate envelopes for each family and arranged them alphabetically by surname. These envelopes also include information regarding the author, the typist and the proofreader of the drafts.

This fonds is comprised of memorabilia created and collected by Kathleen McClelland about the McClelland, Brubaker and Battell families. It includes sections of the newspaper and newspaper clippings where members of her family are mentioned. It contains compiled family histories of the Brubakers and the McClellands as well as photographs of various family members. This fonds also includes a Moose Jaw School District No. 1 100th Anniversary Calendar – Kathleen McClelland, S. Ernest M. McClelland, Kathleen’s father, and Rella (Brubaker) Hunter, Kathleen’s aunt, were all teachers in Moose Jaw.

This fonds consists of 649 photographic images created by Leslie Earl McWilliams. Subject matter is primarily agricultural activities, family members, Moose Jaw buildings, and the family farm. A number of the images related to Scottish pipe and drum bands. The fonds also includes images of Claybank Brick Plant and associated clay deposits and a variety of travel photos including British Columbia, northern Saskatchewan and Churchill, Manitoba.

This fonds consists of the files of the Moose Jaw and District Hospice Care Association Inc. from its formation to its closure. Included are the constitution and by-laws, minutes of meetings, financial statements, correspondence and reports. There is material pertaining to the acquisition and training of coordinators and volunteers. There are brochures and newspaper clippings on hospice care, as well as a scrapbook (binder) of the Moose Jaw and District Hospice Care Association Inc. containing an organizational chart, lists of board members and volunteers, correspondence, newspaper clipping and four photographs taken at the 1992 annual meeting. There is a bound thesis by Eleanor May Stamm entitled “An inquiry into appropriate care for the terminally ill:” which was donated by Dr. F.C. Heal to the Hospice Association.

This fonds consists of material primarily from the 1940's. Included are the Memorandum of Association, insurance policy of the mid 1940's and blueprints of the Club drawn up in 1949. There are lists of shareholders and members, financial statements and correspondence. There are 2 black and white undated photographs and photocopies of photographs. Also there are swim meet schedules, programs, and results, as well as blank membership application forms, membership cards, newspaper clippings and a sheet of letterhead. There are minutes of meetings of the Canadian Amateur Swimming Association in 1949 and minutes of the Saskatchewan Section of the Canadian Amateur Swimming Association in 1949. National results and records are also included for 1947.
