Dr. John Maclean fonds

This fonds contains a portion of a notebook containing an English-Aboriginal language dictionary. The dictionary was compiled by Dr. John Maclean and identified as such by Annie Wallis. Her name and Dr. John Maclean’s name are inscribed on the last page of the notebook. Although the language of the dictionary is not identified in the text, the language departments of the First Nations University in Regina, Saskatchewan believe it is Dakota.

Logan Family fonds

This fonds consists of a journal , a photo album, a post card album and an autograph album of the Logan Family of Central Butte, predominantly Pearl Logan, kept in the late 1800's to the 1920's. Some photos are tin types, others are hand coloured. Several photos have the photographer’s identification on the back. They are from Ottawa and Winnipeg and the photos would have been taken in the late 1800's. Only one photograph is dated and identified. There is also a Bible that was presented to the Logan Family in 1909 from the Sunday School and Church in Manitou, Manitoba as a farewell gift.

Benson Family fonds

The fonds consists of a detailed gardening diary in which Mr. Benson records dates of planting, harvesting, weather, comments on the varieties of flowers and vegetables planted. He also records some other significant local events. There is also a journal/guest book kept by Mrs. Benson recording her hosting of two teas for elderly ladies in Moose Jaw in 1930 and 1931. The lists of attendees include address, and year and place of birth. The remaining file consists of one item of correspondence to Mrs. Benson relating to one of the teas. This fonds also consists of two photo albums, with pictures taken by or of Marguerite (Benson) Gardner, a scrapbook of Thomas William Clayton’s scouting and an atlas from 1871.

Moose Jaw Agricultural Society fonds

This fonds consists of six series comprising the business, activities, and history of the Moose Jaw Agricultural Society from its beginning in 1884 to its disbanding in 1992. It contains minutes, financial papers, reports and publicity. There are photographs of persons and events over the years, as well as photographs and slides of the 100th anniversary celebrations held in 1984. There is information from and about the several affiliate organizations of the Moose Jaw Agricultural Society.

Sharpe Family fonds

This fonds contains four books that belonged to the family of George Benjamin Cubitt Sharpe.

The two Ontario Readers books were published in 1884 and 1885, and belonged to Ernest W.C. Sharpe. The methodist hymn book was likely used by Georgina Sharpe as it contains a letter sent from her. The hymn book also includes four flattened flowers, five newspaper clippings, and a weekly schedule of the the Zionist Methodist Church from 1911.
