The collection includes color and black and white photographs and negatives from Wesley Aikenhead's private collection. Most of the images are of Saskatoon, Melfort and Melfort's surrounding area.

The fonds contains a set of nine black and white photographs dating from approximentally 1929. The set belonged to Dorothy Snelling's deceased grandmother and they were part of her personal collection. The photographs were taken from the top of the Melfort Water Tower. When placed beside one another they provide a 360 degree view of the Melfort town site. One photograph is missing from the set.

The photographs are of Berlin S.D. #1958, Napoleon S.D. #3294, Jones S.D. #1483, South Star S.D. #1333, Queen's Park S.D. #377, and Prescott S.D. #3935.

The fonds contains two scanned photographs of Berlin S.D. # 1958 school children. The original photographs date between the years 1928 and 1964. They were scanned at 300 dpi with 16 million colors. The donor, Muriel Rolles, was a teacher at Berlin S.D. #1958 and the photographs are from her personal collection.

The fonds contains black and white photographs from Erma Reeder's personal collection. The photographs date from the 1950's and were taken in the Fairy Glen area. They include images of Rothwell S.D. #318, Fairy Glen S.D. #2263, and Fairy Glen High school.

The collection contains 24 photographic reproductions of original photographs of members of the John Carlson family, local farming activities, and farm equipment. Several depict views of Melfort in early states of development. Historically significant images include that of a Mr. and Mrs. Bagshaw at "Melfort House" in the U.K.

This collection includes photographs taken in the Melfort region. Subjects include: a threshing crew, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Downie, the town of Melfort, and Mrs. Clagett's funeral coffin. The originals date from the 1910's to the 1950's.

The collection contains one photocopy of a black and white photograph. Taken in 1930, the image is a formal group portrait of the Melfort United Church's young people's group, "The Alerts," of which Mabel Braaten was a member.

The collection contains four scanned black and white photographs that include images of the Wilkinson children (Claude, Kathleen, Ken and Lyla) in the 1920s, of harvest near Tisdale at the Hugh Barnum farm in the late 1920s, of Lyle Boice Barnum holding Lyla Baity (nee Wilkinson) in the 1910s, and a formal portrait of Malcom Barnum (left) and Hugh Barnum (right).

The fonds contains twelve reprinted black and white photographs with matching negatives from Eleanor Reeder and her brother Clarance McAusland's personal collections. They include images of Melfort View S.D. #121, a Girls Farm Camp, farming activities, grain elevators, and the Melfort Post Office.

The collection contains two photographs. They were taken between the 1910's and 1920's. They include an image of a work bee planting a crop for Mrs. Brice after her husband's death and an image of two people standing with a tractor.

The collection contains two scanned copies of black and white photographs owned by Ines Claggett, as well as five original black and white photographs. All photographs were originally taken between [ca. 1930] and [195-]. The photographs depict group portraits of the "Southside Circle" women's group of the Melfort United Church, young students and teachers and the Salvation Army Building, a curling team, and the former Melfort golf club house - which was originally run by Mr. and Mrs. Dick Harms.

The fonds contains 17 scanned copies of photographs from Kathleen Flett's personal collection. The majority of the photographs depict members of the John and Janet Flett family and images of the Flett homestead, dating from the early 1900s to approximately 1943. Several are formal studio portraits of individuals and wedding parties. Three photographs depict threshing activities. One photograph features the "Ethelton Aces" team in approximately 1943.
