Records collected and created by the Vice-President of the University of Saskatchewan.

Equivalent in scope to the Presidential or Vice-presidential records, this fonds specifically documents the administration of the Saskatoon campus from 1967-1974, and includes correspondence, reports, minutes, and memoranda. It also includes considerable documentation of the various administrative committees functioning during this period.

This series contains materials created and/or acquired by Walter Murray during his tenure as President, from 1908-1937, documenting nearly three decades of the University of Saskatchewan’s history including its establishment; the faculty crisis of 1919; the development of the Colleges of Agriculture, Arts & Science, Education, Engineering; Law; Medicine, Pharmacy and the Extension Division; and the financial crisis of the Depression years.

This fonds contains of records generated in response to the requests of the Johnson Committee, as well as records relating to other senior administrative committees for which R.G. Sutherland served or chaired.

Given the nature and scope of the office, the Presidential records usually provide the most comprehensive source for documenting all facets of the University, including important initiatives, funding, research and teaching, college and departmental development, and faculty, staff, and student activities. Generally these records contain correspondence, reports, minutes, annual general reports of college and departmental activities, as well as some personal papers, speeches and addresses.

The majority of this collection are articles written by McGeachy for a variety of Canadian publications over his long and distinguished career as a journalist. It also contains some correspondence, and a scrapbook.

This fonds contains biographical data; correspondence with colleagues and publishers; draft and corrected manuscripts of published books, articles and reviews; publicity and notes for public lectures; class and course notes; photographs of excavation sites; articles by other authors; research notes and bibliographical cards.

This fonds consists of biographical data, correspondence with family, friends, colleagues and gallery curators; lecture notes, articles, poems, exhibition catalogues, and roughly 700 sketches.

This fonds contains correspondence, memoranda, minutes, and reports for the following committees: Computer Advisory Committee; Computer Management Committee; Computer Budget Committee; Computer Hardware Subcommittee; and Computer Selection Committee. The collection also contains two articles by Professor Wacker: "Switching Noise Studies on Powerline Courier" (1967) and "Image Representation Via Its Symmetrical Components" (1986).

This fonds contains correspondence with colleagues, students and friends, subject files including information on the role of scientists in public affairs and education, nuclear energy, labour relations, various University of Saskatchewan committees and the Department of Physics, lecture and research notes, articles, reports and work that was in progress at the time of Dr. Skinner's death. There is also a substantial section of reference material.

This fonds contains correspondence with family, friends and colleagues; biographical and research grant information; research and bibliographic files and notes; manuscripts and typescripts of published and unpublished scholarly articles, book reviews, addresses and books; lecture notes and course materials; as well as drafts and typescripts of plays, short stories and several books for youth. A large percentage of the research files contain photocopies of secondary and primary materials.

This fonds consists largely of Richards' correspondence, lecture materials, personal data, addresses, articles, and research material. His work on the "Atlas of Saskatchewan" is included as is a variety of research material from studies done on an array of topics including land use, mapping, Saskatchewan land inventory, Grasslands National Park, recreational land use, regional planning, land use conflicts, and the NASA course at the Johnson Space Centre.

This fonds contains files relating to Professor Byers research in Northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba, specifically Amisk, Wildnest, Annabel, Waddy, Neagle, Face, Errington, Black and Pillow lakes; Flin Flon; and Missi Island.

This fonds contains correspondence with teachers, government officials, colleagues and the general public concerning plant specimens, diseases, identification and equipment.

This fonds primarily consists of correspondence between J.A. Sharrard and his wife, Edith. The correspondence pertains to missionary work in India, individuals and activities at the University of Saskatchewan and in Saskatoon, the 1918 Spanish Flu epidemic, and family life. The fonds includes some drawings and notes written by Sharrard’s daughter Ruth. It also contains a small file of notes for sermons or speeches as well as a few postcards and photographs.
