This fonds contains material pertaining to the research and instructional activities of the University's Agricultural Engineering Department. Specifically, this collection provides documentation on the development of agricultural machinery and agricultural practices in the Canadian west.

This fonds contains correspondence, reports, articles, newspaper clippings, and the research material. Included are several files of photographs, documenting horse pulling contests, construction of a rammed-earth building, and agricultural machinery. The files on the American Society of Agricultural Engineers contain minute books, by-laws, manuals, a student branch history, and reports.

This fonds contains addresses, correspondence, lecture notes, abstracts and clippings on various areas of agricultural chemistry, including food processing, food production, and nutrition. Additionally, it contains material on industrial and engineering chemistry; administrative material from the department of chemistry; and files on the Board of Grain Commissions, Saskatchewan Co-op Wheat Producers, and Junior Grain Club.

This fonds reflects Holmlund’s interest in the philosophy of education, his varied career at the University of Saskatchewan, and his concern for an equitable society. It is particularly valuable as a source for university history, specifically for the period of Leo Kristjanson’s tenure; and for issues surrounding health delivery, education, and the College of Medicine; the development of computer / IT services on campus; and First Nations educational opportunities. As a reflection of planning at a post-secondary U-15 institution, this fonds is particularly strong, notably for the materials surrounding the Issues and Options project.

This fonds contains material that documents G.M. Simpson's interests and activities during his career at the U of S. Of particular note is the extensive collection of photographs by John Diduck and Rudolph Kaul collected by Dr. Simpson documenting Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, the university and in particular the Department of Crop Science and the Crop Development Centre.

This fonds contains research notes, articles, clippings, circulars, and reports on topics including forage crops, root studies, dairy production, settlement and migration, and the railway.

This fonds contains material relating to Dr. Crawford's poultry research, notably epilepsy mutant data, notes on breeds including Japanese quail and Chantecler, material from Poultry Breeding and Genetics, and wing band indexes of stocks by year (1965-1990); as well as material relating to Dr. Crawford's sabbatical leaves, and his personal correspondence.
