This fonds contains research notes, articles, clippings, circulars, and reports on topics including forage crops, root studies, dairy production, settlement and migration, and the railway.

This fonds contains biographical material, including a Paul family history and reminiscences and anecdotes by L.C. Paul, as well as several of his articles. In addition, there is both the manuscript and published version of the History of Extension (1910-1970), and a file on the Retired Faculty Association. The addendum contains clippings and article pertaining to the history of agriculture and agricultural science in Western Canada.

This collection contains an audio tape interview with Harrington from September 1975, covering his early life and career. [Note: a second tape from this session is missing, although there is a brief summary of the the topics covered]. Other items in the collection are a 1924 University of Minnesota Commencement Programme and Harrington's Ph.D. degree.

This fonds consists of material relating to Allen's career including his autobiography, correspondence, clippings, honours, and memorials.

This fonds contains correspondence, reports, publications and memoranda relating to the research activities of Herman Austenson, as well as some administrative records relating to the department of Crop Science and Plant Ecology, and the research activities of the Crop Development Centre. Some of the materials were created by J.B. Harrington; these files have been identified whenever possible.

This fonds relates to the lives of siblings or descendants of RHD Phillips and Tanyss (Bell) Phillips. Robert Howard Daniel (“Bob”) Phillips (1921-2006) was a journalist. He joined the staff of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool as a research analyst, and later became the editor and publisher of the Western Producer. He married Tanyss Bell in 1951. Tanyss (1926-2016) was an economist who worked in the research department of the Bank of Canada, with the Saskatchewan Royal Commission on Agriculture and Rural Life, as a lecturer at the University of Regina, and as a contract editor. Both were alumni of the University of Saskatchewan.

This fonds contains materials created or collected by R.H.D. Phillips, particularly during his tenure with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. In particular, it contains extensive materials documenting the work of the Research Division, including specific issues relating to their internal communications, and transportation issues. Additionally there is documentation relating to the running and operations of the Western Producer, Modern Press, and Western Producer Publishing. Also included are records relating to the establishment and demise of St. Stephen’s Church in Regina, a variety of genealogies compiled by Phillips, documents pertaining to Tanyss Phillips's work with the Royal Commission on Agricultural and Rural Life, and documents relating to post-secondary education in Saskatchewan.

This fonds contains materials relating to the professional activities of Grant Wood, including papers he has presented at conferences, and his work in the Canada Mongolia Training for Rural Development Project. Also included are some of his early teaching materials, and materials collected on subjects related to his field.

This fonds contains material relating to Dr. Crawford's poultry research, notably epilepsy mutant data, notes on breeds including Japanese quail and Chantecler, material from Poultry Breeding and Genetics, and wing band indexes of stocks by year (1965-1990); as well as material relating to Dr. Crawford's sabbatical leaves, and his personal correspondence.

This fonds contains material related to the Mapletoft family, Fort Pitt, Frenchman's Butte and Onion Lake areas, the First Nations, the Métis, the Northwest Rebellion and the Little Pipestone Ranch and Simmental cattle.

This fonds contains material pertaining to the research and instructional activities of the University's Agricultural Engineering Department. Specifically, this collection provides documentation on the development of agricultural machinery and agricultural practices in the Canadian west.

This fonds contains addresses, correspondence, lecture notes, abstracts and clippings on various areas of agricultural chemistry, including food processing, food production, and nutrition. Additionally, it contains material on industrial and engineering chemistry; administrative material from the department of chemistry; and files on the Board of Grain Commissions, Saskatchewan Co-op Wheat Producers, and Junior Grain Club.

This fonds consists of materials used, created, and accumulated by the Westlund and McAusland families. The majority of the material consists of financial records related to the farming operations of Arthur Westlund and Clarance McAusland near Brownlee and Melfort, Saskatchewan respectively. Although broadly speaking, the story of agriculture in Saskatchewan is well known – cyclical environmental factors, changes in product prices and markets – this fonds provides evidence of the impact of those changes on the lives of a single family, over decades. How that family interacted within the local community is also revealed in terms of how and where they spent their income. The source material, in farm account books, vendor receipts, property tax assessments, banking and investment records, income tax returns, crop insurance documentation, and other materials generated from the farming operations, provides direct evidence of farm and community in the lives of one farm family over generations. In addition to the farming records, there is a small amount of correspondence, family memorabilia, ephemera, and artifacts. The fonds includes some material related to the Saskatchewan Liberal Party as the McAuslands were members of the party for a number of years. The fonds also includes records related to the operation of the Royal Winter Snow Plow Club, of which Clarance McAusland was a member. There is also a small collection of publications which are largely related to agriculture.

This collection includes 7 original photograph albums, primarily documenting life overseas for Canadian servicemen during World War I. In addition to the military images are photographs of the Canadian west, including the Better Farming Train, fairs and livestock exhibitions, and early images of Banff, the Rockies, and Vancouver.
