The mandate of the Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan is to acquire and preserve public and private records of significance to Saskatchewan and to facilitate access to those records. The Archives also provides records management services to provincial government ministries, boards, agencies, Crown corporations and commissions.

The reading room is open Monday to Friday, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. (There is no retrieval service from 12:00-1:00 pm and after 3:45 pm). Closed statutory and civic holidays.
