Administrative history

Saskatoon Gateway Players is a 100% volunteer run, non-profit, charitable organization formed in 1967 to promote, produce, and perform live theatre. In addition to producing 5 plays a year held in the Castle Theatre, plus one Theatre for Children play performed free of charge in public libraries and elementary schools, the organization offers various workshops for members, and public wardrobe rentals. Children's Theatre was started in 1962 by a group of faculty wives from the University of Saskatchewan. After Gateway's inception in 1967, Theatre for Children came under Gateway's umbrella and has since become fully integrated as an annual part of Saskatoon Gateway Players activities. Gateway is run by a board of 12 directors elected by the membership. Meetings are held monthly and elections at the Annual General Meeting.

Custodial history

A large portion of the production-related records were donated in memorial by the family of Bill Hubbard.
