Algemene aantekening

Some of Yorkton's Better homes.

On this and the next few pages are shown some of, what were and still are considered amonst, the better homes erected fifty and sixty years ago in Yorkton. Some have been converted into multiple dwellings and some have been demolished, others are still classed amonst the best.

Above.

The residence of Levi Beck. Erected in 1902 with 250 foot frontage on Smith Street, between 1st. and 2nd. Avenues. The house was set well back on the property and had a nice curved driveway in and out of the front entrance. The property was well treed and landscaped. Note the gas street lamp or light on the street corner. The building was demolished in the early 1950s due to its state of repair. It will be noted that this house stood on the present location of the new fire hall.
