General note
The church was built in 1895 and torn down in 1912. Grisdale Hall (702 Buxton Street) was completed in 1912 as the new Anglican church and hall. The reverse says, "St. John's Anglican Church built 1895 with funds from Lord Thomas Brassey near Bishop's Court. Torn down 1912"
