Administrative history

The Regiment was designated the 14th Canadian Hussars on August 1,1940. The regiment was mobilized on January 26, 1941 and converted to an armoured regiment with a re-designation to the 8th (Reserve) Reconnaissance Battalion (14th Canadian Hussars) in April of that year. On May 19, 1958 the regiment reverted to the 14th Canadian Hussars before being disbanded on March 1, 1965 and placed on the Supplementary Order of Battle.

Scrapbook measures 41.9 x 31.6 x 2.1 cm.
Photograph is black and white, 20.6 x 25.5 cm.
Two paper placemats and a napkin from the evening are inside the front cover.
An envelope was in the inside cover. It contained photocopied pages of militia lists for the 27th Light Horse and 14th Canadian Light Horse for 1914-1927. The pages were removed from the envelope and put in a folder, which has been moved to SCM-RG-0025-002-04.
