: This fonds contains the personal records of an extended family, including photographs, correspondence, and diaries. It documents their interests, careers, and family life predominantly two generations – the Ratcliffes and McConnells. The first accrual documents the interests, careers and family of John and Doreen McConnell and their daughter, Mary Ann. It includes materials related to McConnell’s work in communications, his work for the Canadian and Saskatchewan governments, together with materials relating to his interest in the environment and social and international development issues. It also includes materials relating to his wife, Doreen, who predeceased him. The second accrual adds the records of Doreen’s parents, the Ratcliffes, which includes documents related to their personal life and interests, Elma’s travel, James’ World War I service, and family life.

403 English postcards, dating primarily from 1903-1905, in the original postcard album. Most of the postcards were sent [presumably] by members of the Bramford family and are stamped and annotated. Included are several series, such as "Daddy," "Please, Miss, Give Me Heaven," "The Anchor's Weigh'd," "The Sailor's Lass," artist Parsons Norman, etc.

This collection contains research notes, diaries, and printed material dealing with entomology (in particular, the study of midges), bonsai, and the classification of birds. The photographic material includes subjects relating to Saunder's research; views from his extensive travels (including Egypt [1932]; Ceylon [1932]; Brazil [1923]; Hong Kong and the Far East [1932]; and North America, particularly Emma Lake [1939-1943].

This fonds contains correspondence, including that between Dr. and Mrs. Oliver while he was serving overseas as a chaplain during World War I; his diary from travels in Europe between 1908-9; his sermons and prayers, articles, addresses; as well as newspaper clippings concerning: the war, Oliver's position as Moderator of the United Church, book reviews, and obituaries. In addition, there are several manuscripts, including the "Minutes of Council of Assiniboia," "The History of the North West Territories," "James Anderson Fonds," "Roman Economic Conditions to the Close of the Empire," and "The Canadian North West: Its Early Development and Legislative Records;" as well as offprints from the transactions of the Royal Society. The fonds also contains some photographs, miscellaneous souvenirs, and Dr. Oliver's diplomas.

This fonds consists of a single handwritten diary containing detailed, daily entries from the date of Lynn’s departure from Belleville on 23 October 1899, until his return home and a ceremony with the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York on 11 October 1901, in Toronto. The entries provide detail of Lynn’s voyage; his immediate call to the front upon his arrival in Cape Town, and all aspects of his service and battles.

Don Cochrane fonds

This fonds consists of materials used, created, and accumulated by Don Cochrane relating to his academic career. It includes University of Saskatchewan administrative and course materials as well as files relating to the organization and operation of the Breaking the Silence Conference and the Certificate in Ecological Education (CERTEE) program. There are also a number of files detailing international study tours organized by Don Cochrane through the College of Education.

This fonds also includes a file of class notes which were created by Lorne Dignean, a student in the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan from 1950 to 1951. Mr. Dignean was a teacher for over 35 years at schools around Saskatoon. He taught for the most years at Clavet School, where he provided a scholarship in his family name in 1999. Lorne Dignean died in 2018.

A small 12 cm X 19 cm) green 368-page hardcover book written by Anne Brassey and containing her memoirs from the trip she and her husband, Lord Thomas Brassey took around the world in their yacht, the Sunbeam, from July 1, 1876 to May 26, 1977.
