Harry Moore Porteous was born in 1883 in Lancashire, England. His mother, Annie Bryce McNee Porteous (1845-1920) was born in Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute, Scotland in 1845. He had siblings Sanford Drysdale Porteous (1883-1964) and Clive Hope Porteous (1887-1960). Harry is listed in the 1911 Census of Canada as living in Regina and working as a labourer.

He died March 22, 1922 in Saskatoon.

Norman "Little" Vickar was born in 1921 to David Vickar and Sophie Vickar (Gelman) on a farm north of Brooksby. After attending school at Edenbridge S.D. #2930 Norman started farming. He took a break from farming for almost five years while he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a L.A.C. (Aircraft man). After completing his military service Norman returned to farming until his retirement in Melfort, Saskatchewan.

Rosa Smith was the aunt of Miss. M. Roycroft. Not much else is known about her.
