Eleanor Reeder was born to Crawford Nelson McAusland and Charlotte McAusland (Robson). Her parents homesteaded in the area in 1892. Eleanor attended Vaughan S.D. #319 and Melfort View S.D. #121.

Garner, Albert Coleman 1878-1961

Albert Garner was born in Warwickshire, England, in 1878. He came with his parents to Wapella, Assiniboia, N.W.T. in 1888. He joined the Saskatchewan Public Service as a student engineer in 1902. After two years in private business Garner returned to organize the Surveys Branch of the Saskatchewan Land Titles Office. He held the post of Chief Surveyor for the Province of Saskatchewan until his retirement in 1943. Garner served as a special scout in Lord Strathcona's Horse in the South African War.

During the First World War Garner was a member of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, and served in a number of capacities. He was a Lieutenant-Colonel in the Canadian Army Service Corps. He was a prominent member of the Canadian Militia. He died in Victoria on May 11, 1961.

Jones, Jean

Jean Jones was born in 1928 to Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Mooney. Jean entered the world in the middle of a crisis; she was born during a fire in a nursing home above the National Cafe in Star City, Saskatchewan. Jean's mother, Mrs. Mooney, passed away at a very young age and later Edgar remarried Mildred. Jean had seven siblings: Russell, Dorothy, Vernon, Gail Wade, Noreen, David, and Nancy. In 1943 Jean married Clifford Jones who was also from the Star City area. Together they farmed outside of Star City and later they moved into town.

Morton, James

James Morton resided in Moose Jaw. He was a staff writer for the Regina Leader-Post newspaper. In 1967 he became public relations director of the Moose Jaw Credit Union and later was manager of marketing and personnel. He retired in the early 1980's. He was married to Gladys M. Morton.
