The Welcome Wagon Newcomers Club was organized on September 1, 1977. Anyone who had been a member of Welcome Wagon Newcomers Club for two years and wanted to continue the socialization was eligible to join. The first executive were Muriel Wood, president; Bernie Krueger, vice-president; Jean Button, secretary; Gerry Bowler, treasurer. The objective of the Club was to promote sociability among members, allowing them to take an active interest in the civic, social and moral welfare of the community. Once a month they organized a bingo and lunch for the residents of Extendicare. Whist and bridge parties were held during the year and proceeds donated to worthy projects in Moose Jaw. In 1984 the “Welcome Wagon” was dropped from the name and the membership was opened to anyone wishing to join. In 1996 discussions were held regarding the Club’s future. There are no minutes of meetings after September 19, 1996.

Wawota Pastoral Charge was formed as a new self-sustaining United Church charge in 1925, part of Qu'Appelle Presbytery. As of 1926, it consisted of preaching appointments at Wawota, Glen Adelaide and Fernley. Between 1946 and 1951, the Fernley point left the charge (possibly closed). Around 1954, Kelso-Walpole joined Wawota to form Wawota-Kelso Pastoral Charge, which later returned to the name Wawota Pastoral Charge. As of 1962, the charge consisted of points at Kelso, Walpole and Wawota. By 1965, only Kelso and Wawota remained, and by 1975, only Wawota. On June 30, 2002, the charge amalgamated with Maryfield-Fairlight Pastoral Charge to form Crossroads United Pastoral Charge.

Watrous Pastoral Charge was formed as United Church charge in 1925, part of Saskatoon Presbytery and containing appointments at Watrous, as well as Poplar Park and Plymouth (ca.1926). Venn was added in the early/mid-1940s. By 1962, Plymouth was no longer listed in the charge and by 1964, Poplar Park and Venn were not either, leaving just the Watrous preaching point. Around 1969, Young-Zelma was added to Watrous Pastoral Charge. (The name of the Young-Zelma point shifted to Young, ca.1974.) From around 1982, the charge began to be listed as Watrous-Young Pastoral Charge.
