Abbey-Lancer-Portreeve Pastoral Charge

Abbey-Lancer-Portreeve Pastoral Charge was formed around 1972, from the combination of Abbey-Trinity Pastoral Charge with the preaching points at Lancer and Portreeve (previously part of Leader-Sceptre Pastoral Charge).

Abbey Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, part of Swift Current Presbytery and containing preaching points at Abbey, Shackleton and Badger Mound. Later additions included preaching points at Lancer and Roe (before 1951), Portreeve and Lemsford.

In 1957, the charge combined with Leader Pastoral Charge (including Leader, Sceptre and Prelate) to form Leader-Sceptre-Abbey Pastoral Charge. Sometime near 1970, Abbey United Church separated, forming Abbey-Trinity Pastoral Charge. Around 1972, Lancer and Portreeve joined with Abbey to become Abbey-Lancer-Portreeve Pastoral Charge.

Lancer Pastoral Charge

Lancer Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, containing preaching points at Portreeve and Roe. Around 1931 it became part of Abbey Pastoral Charge.

Central Butte Pastoral Charge

Central Butte Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, containing preaching points at Central Butte, Robin Hood and Green Prairie. Around 1948, the charge merged with Riverhurst Pastoral Charge. On July 1, 2007, it merged with Tugaske-Eyebrow to become Spirit Hills Pastoral Charge.

Glen Ewen Pastoral Charge

Glen Ewen Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, containing preaching points at Glen Ewen (St. Angus United Church), Calvin and Hope. Around 1957, the charge merged with Oxbow to become Oxbow-Glen Ewen Pastoral Charge.

Lafleche-Limerick Pastoral Charge

Lafleche Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, containing appointments at La fleche and Melaval. By 1951, the charge had been renamed Lafleche-Melaval Pastoral Charge and it contained the additional Harwood preaching point. The name returned to Lafleche Pastoral Charge by the 1960s and Limerick (Trinity United Church) was added. Woodrow United Church also became part of the charge ca.1969 until it closed, December 31, 2005.

The name of the charge was officially changed to Lafleche-Limerick Pastoral Charge, as of June 12, 2014.

Melfort Pastoral Charge

Melfort Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, containing the preaching points at Melfort and Beatty. On July 1, 1995, the charge became part of a new Melfort-Ethelton Pastoral Charge, after the division of the former Kinistino-Ethelton Pastoral Charge (other points became part of Birch Hills - Kinistino Pastoral Charge). Ethelton United Church closed November 15, 2011.

Melville Pastoral Charge

Melville Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, containing First United Church, in Melville. This congregation is generally considered the first Local Union formed in Canada, dating back to 1908 and coinciding with the Basis of Union, which eventually lead to the creation of the United Church of Canada. Original members included Methodists, Baptists, Congregationalists, and Presbyterians.

Star City Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, part of Prince Albert Presbytery and containing Star City, Campbellville, and Valparaiso appointments. By 1951, only Star City and Valparaiso remained in the charge. Brooksby was later added (before 1962) and Valparaiso removed (ca.1965).

Unity-Meridian Pastoral Charge

Unity Pastoral charge was formed in 1925, as a new United Church charge, containing preaching points at Unity, Wasteena, Belton, and Ruth. Later preaching points in the charge included Phippen and Scott. By 1951, the charge comprised just Unity and Scotstown. The name was changed to Unity-Meridian Pastoral Charge around 1983 and Evesham preaching point was added (moved from Battleford Pastoral Charge, September 8, 1983), alongside Swarthmore, Senlac and Unity. The congregations at Swarthmore and Unity amalgamated, November 23, 2007, as Unity United Church.

Yellow Grass Pastoral Charge

Yellow Grass Pastoral Charge was formed as a new United Church charge in 1925, part of Weyburn Presbytery and consisting of Yellow Grass United Church. Previously, the church had been a local union since October 1922, when Yellow Grass Methodist and Knox Presbyterian Churches joined together. Later additions to the United Church charge included preaching points at Lewvan and Colfax, as well as Trossachs (moved from Radville Pastoral Charge, July 1, 1985). Colfax was closed in 1984, Lewvan in 1988.

The charge was designated a shared ministry, as of August 27, 2003, under the name Yellow Grass-Trossachs United Lutheran Partnership. After the closure of the Trossachs preaching place, the charge was re-named Yellow Grass United Lutheran Partnership, on August 29, 2007.

Leader-Sceptre Pastoral Charge

Leader-Sceptre-Abbey Pastoral Charge was formed around 1957, from an amalgamation of Abbey Pastoral Charge (including Abbey, Lancer, Portreeve, and Lemsford) with Leader Pastoral Charge (including Leader, Sceptre and Prelate). Around 1970, Abbey United Church separated, forming Abbey-Trinity Pastoral Charge, while Lancer and Portreeve remained within Leader-Sceptre Pastoral Charge. Lancer and Portreeve later left to form Abbey-Lancer-Portreeve Pastoral Charge, ca.1972. In 2018, the Sceptre congregation was disbanded.

Four Town Pastoral Charge

Saltcoats-Bredenbury-Churchbridge-Langenburg Pastoral Charge was created from the amalgamation of the Langenburg congregation with Saltcoats-Bredenbury-Churchbridge Pastoral Charge, on July 1, 1999. As of October 1, 1999, it was renamed Four Town Pastoral Charge.
