Myra (Smith) Stilborn was born at Indian Head in 1916, the daughter of Wilbert and Jessie Smith. After graduating from Regina Normal School, she taught school in southern Saskatchewan. Coming back to Indian Head, she taught at Squirrel Hills School and then at Indian Head Collegiate. She married Arthur Stilborn and moved to Saskatoon (see Indian Head History Book p 679).

The Friendly Neighbors Club was a ladies' club formed in the Sunny Slope District in 1934 - originally under the name "Sunny Slope Circle"' Because members from outside the Sunny Slope District joined over the years, it was renamed the "Friendly Neighbors Club in 1946. It continued to operate in 1985. The club's activities included sending food parcels overseas during WWII, quilting, fund-raising for the hospital and the Red Cross.

Sunny Slope Club was a fund-raising circle of farm wives from the area of Sunny Slope School District 1843 west of Indian Head.
