Welcoming her at the north limits of the city are Harry Jones of the Sheraton-Cavalier, and Verne Prior, chairman of Saskatoon's Centennial special events committee. The Overlanders trekked from Winnipeg to Edmonton, then across to the Yellowhead to Kamloops and beyond in 1862. One woman, with her children and husband travelled with this original group.
