School Friends

Sunny Bank School Quilt

Students of Sunny Bank knit woollen squares which were assembled to make the pictured quilt. The quilt was then sent to the Red Cross which in turn sent it to soldiers overseas who served in World War II.

May 24th Parade Groups

Groups of schoolchildren parade down the 100 block of Rosetown's Main Street. Rosetown Grade 1's are in the foreground, with grade 2 behind. Businesses along the east side of Main Street can be seen in the background.

Geology - Research - Marilyn Truscott

Marilyn Truscott of Glidden, Saskatchewan, a PhD candidate in geological sciences at the University of Saskatchewan, makes use of an electron probe x-ray microanalyzer. Mrs. Truscott uses the machine to analyze samples of volcanic rock from the Sweetgrass Hills in Montana. She is obtaining information that will help provide a more complete picture of the geological history of the Western Plains.
