Men's Hockey Team

Sulky Racing

Horses and their riders race past the observation booth in a blur of motion. This particular race was "sulky racing"--a type of harness racing involving the horse pulling the rider in a small capsule-shaped cart.

Skating & Curling Rink

Rosetown rink in 1916. Photo taken in Spring of 1916, hence the flooding. Stewart School and Colwell House in background. This rink was located at the corner of Highway #4 N and 1st Avenue.

In the Valley

Moving the Powell farm house through the Eagle Creek valley from its original location about 8 miles north of Eagle Creek to its present position, 2.5 miles south of Rosetown.

Powell House Lifted

The Powell house with basement intact, lifted up on blocks and ready to go on the trailer for transport. The structure weighed 225 tons and up until this point, a house with basement intact had not been moved whole before.
