Canada's Centennial - Miscellaneous - Confederation Train Display

The Saskatchewan Bulletin, Feb. 1967, p. 7; "Elaine Petrie, Bernard Milette and Bonnie Ashley stand on the deck of a Viking ship and listen to the sound of the wild sea - perhaps off the Coast of Labrador. This is just one of the many displays visitors will find in the interior of the Confederation Train. During its across-Canada tour, the Confederation Train will visit Swift Current, March 27, 28; Moose Jaw, March 29 to 31; Saskatoon, April 1 to 7; North Battleford, April 8, 9; Prince Albert, April 11 to 13; Regina, April 14 to 21."

The Saskatchewan Bulletin, September 1967, p. 2; "'We're off to Expo' exclaim Margo Laatch, Southey and Peter hawryski, Saskatoon as they wave aloft the $500 cheques awarded them by the Saskatchewan Centennial Corporation for producing the best Centennial school newspaper and yearbook in the province. Presentation to Miss Laatch, editor of the prize winning newspaper 'The Southey Crier' and Mrs. Hawrysh, editor of the award winning Bedford Road Collegiate, Saskatoon 'The Lantern' was made by Errol Young, director of the STF Editors' Workshop (yearbook division) on behalf of the Centennial Corporation at the opening night of the workshop."
