This fonds contains questionnaire forms from a survey of individual Winnipeg homes carried out between May and July of 1949. They contain information such as number of occupants, type of heating used, etc. There are also graph analysis of insulation tests carried out on behalf of the National Research Council (NRC) in 1929 and 1930.

This fonds contains correspondence, notes, reports, teaching and research materials, and manuscripts and drafts documenting the professional and academic activities of Dr. Mills over the course of his career. This fonds contains materials relating to John Diefenbaker’s political career and personal friendship with the Connells; and in particular, reflects Diefenbaker’s career following his election as leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, and his constituency of Prince Albert.

This fonds relates to the lives of siblings or descendants of RHD Phillips and Tanyss (Bell) Phillips. Robert Howard Daniel (“Bob”) Phillips (1921-2006) was a journalist. He joined the staff of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool as a research analyst, and later became the editor and publisher of the Western Producer. He married Tanyss Bell in 1951. Tanyss (1926-2016) was an economist who worked in the research department of the Bank of Canada, with the Saskatchewan Royal Commission on Agriculture and Rural Life, as a lecturer at the University of Regina, and as a contract editor. Both were alumni of the University of Saskatchewan.

The fonds consists of file folders that contain the original compiled information that was used by the 17 local residents that comprised the History Book Committee who compiled and published “Indian Head: History of Indian Head and District” in 1984 (ISBN: 0-919781-26-8). This fonds contains source photos and documents that were used in the compilation of the book. The file folders also contain materials that did not make it into the history book and may be of use to archival researchers.
The top two drawers contain local family histories in alphabetical order, while the third drawer contain files with other aspects of Indian Head history (agricultural history, religion, recreation, organizations, military, education, etc.)

This fonds consists of a single handwritten diary containing detailed, daily entries from the date of Lynn’s departure from Belleville on 23 October 1899, until his return home and a ceremony with the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York on 11 October 1901, in Toronto. The entries provide detail of Lynn’s voyage; his immediate call to the front upon his arrival in Cape Town, and all aspects of his service and battles.

This collection of correspondence was predominantly written by Horace Wickenden (one note was written by Margaret Wickenden) to friends Ivan and Marjorie Logan. The letters reflect Wickenden’s views on current events, both global and national, with some emphasis on Canadian politics. In them, he also discusses books he has read; philosophy; reflects on teaching and education; and to some extent, relates daily activities and events in his life and that of his family. Very little discussion of art and painting are in the letters, although these, too, are occasional topics: particularly with regard to Robert Hurley, an artist Wickenden clearly admired.

Fonds documents the creation of the Kitikmeot Atlas. Fonds consists of audio-visual recordings of interviews with Inuit elders at Kugaaruk and Cambridge Bay, proposed and final versions of the interactive digital map program, and paper versions of the maps. Fonds also includes administrative records.
