Turning on the gas for seven communities - ceremony

Photo of seven small-town mayors and Hon. J.H. Brockelbank at the ceremony to turn on the natural gas valve for Indian Head, Qu'Appelle, Balcarres, Grenfell, Broadview, Wolseley, and Fort Qu'Appelle - including Mayor Robert A. Douglas of Indian Head (1955-1968).

Visit from the Governor-General Duke of Connaught

A large gathering of people witnessing the Duke of Connaught as he visits Indian Head. The photo features a large "wheat arch" designed by Norman Ross and Charles Edwards. Buildings in the background include the Bank of Montreal and the Imperial Hotel.

Postcard of St. Andrew's Church

A street view of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, soon after construction in 1908, with James Conn's home in the background. After church union in 1925, it became St. Andrew's United Church.

The town park

The town park was across the street from the Commercial Hotel in Indian Head. The Commercial Hotel was where the BigWay Foods is now (2021) located at 444 Grand Avenue and the photo was taken from where the Memorial Hall is now.
