Issue of the Indian Head News dedicated to the occasion of the return of the Indian Head-based 76th Battery, part of the 17th Canadian Field Regiment. The issue has a photo of the original (1940) combined 60th & 76th Batteries with the names of all the members.
Consists of Ration Book 2 (Cliffe Horsman and Grace Horsman); Ration Books 3 and 4 (Grace Horsman). Many ration stickers have been used in Ration Books 2 and 4 but most remain in Ration Book 3 .
A 20 cm X 25 cm certificate from the town of Moosomin to returning veterans of WWII thanking them for their service. The name of the veteran and date on the certificate are both highly faded and illegible.
A newspaper article clipped out of the Leader Post that reports on 17th Field Regiment and their involvement in the Battle of Otterloo, north of Arnhem in the Netherlands (see IHM.2020.0345 - memoirs of Sgt. Gordie Bannerman).
Most photos are colour 3.5 x 5 inch snapshots of various Legion events with veterans in their Legion dress. Many involve laying of wreaths and socializing at Remembrance Day ceremonies.
