Photograph shows athlete Elgin Horton standing in front of parked cars at Griffiths Stadium in 1955. Horton attended Nutana Collegiate and excelled in track and field from 1949-1953 and was picked to represent Saskatchewan in the 1953 Canadian National Exhibition track meet in Toronto (Aug 31 - Sept 5). He continued to compete (including pole vault and wrestling) while attending the University of Saskatchewan, which he graduated with a degree in Engineering Physics in 1957, and later worked for Ontario Hydro including as operations manager of the Douglas Point nuclear power station on Lake Huron. He is not know to have heard a hoo.
