Research and History

This subseries contains photographs acquired by Leith Knight for her interest in history and use in researching for her Moose Jaw Times Herald column. It includes photographs of prominent buildings, people, and events in the History of Moose Jaw. Includes one photo album. Most photographs contained are copies of originals.

Research

This series contains records of research that Leith Knight conducted for her newspaper column or interest. The specific records contained are photocopies of newspaper articles and pages from published works, printed internet articles, three scrapbooks containing photocopied newspaper articles and notes, five accompanying captions for photograph slides, and a booklet on CPR locomotive No. 2634. Also included are genealogical documents such regarding the Ellis Family, and including eight copies of a large family tree of descendants of Robert Ker, compiled by Leith Knight.

Photographs

This series contains photographs of Leith and her family, and those used for research. Includes two photo albums.

Other Activities

This series contains records that make up miscellaneous events and activities such as, newspaper articles, information on the Monarchist League of Canada, programs from former Pub Nites hosted by Cy, a memo commemorating Cy’s 25th year working for CHAB Radio, a bulletin for a history slideshow presented by Leith and Cy, a subscription reminder for Saskatchewan History, a history tale about Christmas, an excerpt from an address book, a receipt book, a diary, and a list of how Leith’s assets should be handled. Receipts for charitable donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation and the Regina Sexual Assault Centre are also included, along with one page of biographical information on Cy and Leith Knight, and a life-study fellowship membership card and vehicle registration card belonging to a Richard W. Mills.

Obituaries

This series contains copies of obituaries for people that Leith knew. Obituaries of notable Moose Javians such as the late Austin Ellis are kept. Also contained are funeral programs of some deceased.

This series includes letters written to and from members of Leith’s family. The letters are all written by a mother and father, presumably Leith’s. The file regarding Doug includes a card and an envelope.

Family and Personal

This subseries contains photographs of and by Leith and her family, and other interests. These photographs can be of distant relatives, immediate family members, and also photographs taken by Leith on various trips such as to Maryland, United States, and Besant, Saskatchewan. Includes one photo album.
