The Record of Proceedings include the minutes of meetings of the General Council and reports prepared for the General Council. Volumes pertain to councils held in 1925, 1930-1968 (even numbered years), 1971, 1972, 1974, 1977 and 1980.

These are mimeographed copies, which differ slightly from the printed and bound versions in the Year Books.

The Year Book includes: digest of actions of the Executive Committee; reports of officials, committees and general boards; statistics of the Church by Conference, presbytery and pastoral charge; lists of ministers and pastoral charges by Conference and presbytery; and alphabetical lists of ministers. From 1961 and thereafter, the year book was published in two volumes.

The collection consists of primarily textual publications of the (national-level) United Church of Canada (UCC), its General Council, Boards and Divisions. Contents include: reproductions of the Basis of Union (1925) and related documents; published reproductions of General Council [meetings], as well as meeting agendas and reports; UCC Year Books, with detailed lists of pastoral charges and various national statistics and reports; multiple editions of the UCC Manual; minutes and reports from the Board of Home Missions, Board of Evangelism and Social Services, Division of Mission, Board of Colleges and Secondary Schools; Division of Ministry Personnel and Education; and published documents of Regina College (1911-1934); and items from St. Andrew's College Diamond Jubilee.

Minutes and reports [of] First General Council (1925) and Fifth General Council (1932); reports of Commission on the Permanent Organization of the Church (1926). These are individually printed and differ slightly from the minutes and reports in the bound copies of Acts and Proceedings and Year Books.

The Agendas to General Council include the order of business for the meetings of General Council and also biennial reports of committees, boards, colleges, schools and organizations in the Church. They are for the years 1930, 1932 (Order of Business only) 1940, 1944, 1952, 1964, (with supplement) and 1966, (Volumes 1 and 2) .

These two volumes contain the treasurer's statement and statistics of the Church by Conference, presbytery and pastoral charge. This information is similar to that published in the Year Book but was prepared specially for use at conferences and was published subsequently in the Year Book.

Published digests of minutes of meetings of the Board of Home Missions. Includes Minutes of meeting of the Executive of the Board of Home Missions and Social Services (Presbyterian Church), March 1926.

Division of Ministry Personnel and Education agenda -- this Division is the successor to the Board of Colleges and Secondary Schools. The agenda are similar in content to A.381.X.12.

Year Books usually include the following: digest of actions of the Executive Committee; reports of officials, committees and general boards; statistics of the Church by Conference, presbytery and pastoral charge; lists of ministers and pastoral charges by Conference and presbytery; and alphabetical lists of ministers. From 1961 and thereafter, the year book was published in two volumes.

Contents include: the Constitution and Government of the United Church of Canada; the Administrative Boards, the other local church organizations; and other information concerning the administration of church activities. Each volume includes Historical Statement on the formation of the United Church of Canada.
