This fonds contains biographical material, including a Paul family history and reminiscences and anecdotes by L.C. Paul, as well as several of his articles. In addition, there is both the manuscript and published version of the History of Extension (1910-1970), and a file on the Retired Faculty Association. The addendum contains clippings and article pertaining to the history of agriculture and agricultural science in Western Canada.

This collection contains material obtained by the Committee on Historical Records, established at the University in the early 1940's to obtain historical documents and reminiscences from individuals throughout the province. Although many responses are brief and contain only suggested names of people to be contacted, some replies provide detailed accounts of early settlement and community development. The fonds also contains brief family histories from a class in 1943.

Photograph albums, other family and community "milestone" albums (marriage, death, births, anniversaries, graduations, awards, news clippings of local history); materials relating to teaching school in Saskatchewan 1947-1951.

This diary spans four eventful years of Ms. Priest’s life, touching on her activities as a teacher, her wedding, holiday trips to England and Wales, and early years homesteading in Canada. Personal and philosophical thoughts are also explored within the diary. Many flowers pressed in diary.

The bulk of this fondsl deals with the career of Richard Rempel and post-career project, the biography of the University of Saskatchewan’s third President, W.P. Thompson. This fonds also contains materials relating to the Rempel family, to the academic careers of Jacob and Richard Rempel and to the University of Saskatchewan. In particular, it provides the most extensive source available to date relating to Richard Rempel and Charles Lightbody.

This fonds consists primarily of the research material for and chapter drafts of "The Prairie Builder."

Material is organized by the name of the person profiled. Profiles include: Will James; Joan Bamford Fletcher; Jean Ewen; Gladys Arnold; Morris "Two Gun" Cohen; Richard St. Barbe Baker; Tom Hourie; Norman Falkner; Charlie Palmer; Father Claffey; Emma Woikin; and Kate Rice.

In terse, usually one line descriptions, the daily work of a male farmer on a mixed farm through the depression years are depicted. In addition to grain the couple raised both cattle and pigs; if there was also poultry this would presumably have been the purview of the woman and was not noted. Entries in a second hand are found at the back of the 1927 diary, primarily regarding quilting; and at the back of the 1939-1942 diary, noting household expenditures. At the end of 1929, the main author noted "Very poor year. Drought. Shortage of feed and water;" to which his partner appended, "All poor if you ask me???"

This substantive family archive of Canadiana consists of multi-page correspondence for southern and south-central Ontario beginning in 1875 through 1929, but mostly pre-20th century, and comprises of several different threads of personal/familial writings with letters received between Saskatoon Saskatchewan, and many other locations across Canada. Along with the over 85 letters are some loose covers, an account book, one check book with stubs and perhaps another 20 pieces of ephemera.

This collection consists primarily of correspondence, notes, clippings and photographs. It includes material of other Porter family members.

This fonds contains a bound typescript copy of Helen's memoirs, The Unforgotten Years. These memoirs document the Shirriff and Alexander families, and are particularly descriptive of life in Western Canada between the 1860s and 1932.

This fonds contains materials pertaining to the writing, planning and production of Diefenbaker’s 80th Birthday Party in 1975. Specifically, it includes handwritten and typed notes, correspondence, photographs, slides, film and audio reels, and some clippings. The film includes footage gathered and created for the event (including new interviews with John and Olive Diefenbaker) as well as the finished product as presented during the birthday gala.
