Bio/Historical Note: Dr. Richard Robert Ernest Uwiera earned a BSc (Biochemistry/Physiology) and an MSc (Toxicology) at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Uwiera earned a DVM and a PhD in Veterinary Pathology at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. He is professor, Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Science; and division director, Animal Science, in the Department of Agriculture, Food & Nutrition Science, University of Alberta (2024).
