Bio/historical note: The Empress Hotel later became the Astro Hotel and was destroyed by fire in the early 1960's

Lieutenant Colonel E.W. Hubbell Inspector of Surveys in for the Government of Canada. Written on reverse: "Served in Riel Rebellion 1885 with Ontario Midlands from childhood I new him Lived in Prince Albert and surveyed that area in the 90's - on his mother's side a Molson (Of Molson's Bank Montreal) Janet Munro"
