This collection includes working papers and completed versions of Hillis’ published and unpublished poetry, drama, and fiction, as well as research and correspondence related thereto. The collection includes a range of interviews conducted by Hillis with a number of Saskatchewan authors for her books Voices and Visions and Plainspeaking. This collection also includes chapbooks published by Andrew Suknaski, Lorna Uher, and Mick Burrs.
Further, the collection contains a range of materials gathered by Doris on the subject of puppetry for her work with the Macklin Puppeteers throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s. Her personal memoirs are also included, as are materials from her involvement in Saskatchewan’s literary community, including helpful information on the art of writing from her workshops.

This fonds contains material created or collected by Dr. Williamson during his varied career as an anthropologist, civil servant, legislator, professor, and as a consultant for various provincial, national and international organizations and governments. Although primarily documenting Dr. Williamson's work for and with the Inuit of northern Canada, this fonds includes material relating to all circumpolar countries, other aboriginal groups in Canada, international affairs, and a very broad range of topics as they relate to the north, including art and culture, physical geography, sport, environment, botany, zoology, economics, defence, etc. It includes his personal and professional correspondence, research data, articles and scholarly writing, as well as a substantial collection of reference publications.

This fonds contains correspondence between Wilfred McKay and family members during his deployment to Europe in World War II with the Saskatoon Light Infantry. In these letters, McKay describes: his deployment journey; details of the daily life of a soldier at training and in battle in England, Spitzbergen (“Operation Gauntlet”) in Norway, and Italy; observations on local culture and cuisine, flora and fauna; his various duties, promotions and positions; personal relationships; family updates; comedic poems and anecdotes; marriage announcement from Holland; post war duty in Holland to sell Canadian vehicles. : The majority of this fonds is material related to the research for Waiser’s published works. It contains material relating to Waiser’s academic and writing career including instructional material; assessments and referential material; and research and publication activities. Other individuals of achievement and/or fame in various fields are also represented: scientists; public officials from other countries; diplomats; religious leaders; those in the performing arts. Uniquely, the album also contains several signatures from members of the Royal Family: extremely rare in an album of this kind.

This fonds reflects Holmlund’s interest in the philosophy of education, his varied career at the University of Saskatchewan, and his concern for an equitable society. It is particularly valuable as a source for university history, specifically for the period of Leo Kristjanson’s tenure; and for issues surrounding health delivery, education, and the College of Medicine; the development of computer / IT services on campus; and First Nations educational opportunities. As a reflection of planning at a post-secondary U-15 institution, this fonds is particularly strong, notably for the materials surrounding the Issues and Options project.
