This collection includes various 28mm films, including two Charlie Chaplin films, "The Rink" and "The Fireman" (both 1916) and "The Coward," a 1915 Civil War drama; as well as newsreel and instructional films on the gasoline engine; the Canadian Rockies; and athletic instruction; etc. Also included are textual records including a catalogue of films available at the time, and correspondence with General Films Limited; together with the 28mm projector Kozakew used.

This fonds documents the teaching career and private interests of Dennis W. Harley. It contains film, audio tapes, publications by Harley, reference material, correspondence, sketches and photographs.

This fonds documents the academic career of William Maher, including correspondence with colleagues; research notes and logs, drafts, and articles; together with numerous film images of wildlife.

This fonds reflects Brock Silversides’ interests in historical and contemporary culture, with particular emphasis on the history of photography, music, and film. It contains research materials used for eight of his books, including both published and unpublished images taken from a variety of archives, as well as from Brock’s personal collection. His numerous articles represent an excellent resource on photographers and the history of photography, as do several of the public exhibitions which he curated. In addition, his collections of historical newspapers, film, posters -- particularly for local musicians, Canadian film and Canadian artists -- represent a useful collection for anyone interested in these aspects of Canadian culture and society.

This fonds contains materials pertaining to the writing, planning and production of Diefenbaker’s 80th Birthday Party in 1975. Specifically, it includes handwritten and typed notes, correspondence, photographs, slides, film and audio reels, and some clippings. The film includes footage gathered and created for the event (including new interviews with John and Olive Diefenbaker) as well as the finished product as presented during the birthday gala.

His service to the community external to the University is primarily evident in the political, arts and heritage fields.

Ohorodnyk, and Premier Stewart Garson of Manitoba, as well as with various associations and companies, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Bureau of Plant Industry, and the Canadian Pacific Railway (specifically concerning weed control on railway rights of way).
