This collection contains books, magazines, and a variety of ephemera associated with themes of Canadiana, advertising, keys, locks, and locksmithing, mysteries, socialism, sex and gender, science fiction, western living, adventure.

This fonds contains material related to the administration, programing, and information services of the USSU Women’s Centre in its various incarnations as well as informational brochures, reports, clippings and reference material on a variety of subjects of particular concern to women.

This fonds contains materials related to Anne Szumigalski’s writing.

This collection includes working papers and completed versions of Hillis’ published and unpublished poetry, drama, and fiction, as well as research and correspondence related thereto. The collection includes a range of interviews conducted by Hillis with a number of Saskatchewan authors for her books Voices and Visions and Plainspeaking. This collection also includes chapbooks published by Andrew Suknaski, Lorna Uher, and Mick Burrs.
Further, the collection contains a range of materials gathered by Doris on the subject of puppetry for her work with the Macklin Puppeteers throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s. Her personal memoirs are also included, as are materials from her involvement in Saskatchewan’s literary community, including helpful information on the art of writing from her workshops.

This fonds contains material created or collected by Dr. Williamson during his varied career as an anthropologist, civil servant, legislator, professor, and as a consultant for various provincial, national and international organizations and governments. Although primarily documenting Dr. Williamson's work for and with the Inuit of northern Canada, this fonds includes material relating to all circumpolar countries, other aboriginal groups in Canada, international affairs, and a very broad range of topics as they relate to the north, including art and culture, physical geography, sport, environment, botany, zoology, economics, defence, etc. It includes his personal and professional correspondence, research data, articles and scholarly writing, as well as a substantial collection of reference publications.

The fonds includes material documenting William Deverell’s career primarily as a writer and a lawyer. Among other material, included are research and drafts relating to most of his books and screenplays; other writing; documents re court cases, particularly those used as background for books and screenplays (including the CBC series Scales of Justice); records relating to The Writers Union of Canada; material relating to early activities including newspaper articles written by Deverell and clippings etc. relating to his election campaigns and trials he was involved in; videocassettes of his films Shellgame and Mindfield; correspondence with agents, publishers, producers, fans, etc., and other records relating to the publication and promotion of his books and films; and professional and personal correspondence with Carol Shields, Marian Engel, Margaret Atwood, Susan Musgrave, Stephen Reid and others.

This fonds contains correspondence between Wilfred McKay and family members during his deployment to Europe in World War II with the Saskatoon Light Infantry. In these letters, McKay describes: his deployment journey; details of the daily life of a soldier at training and in battle in England, Spitzbergen (“Operation Gauntlet”) in Norway, and Italy; observations on local culture and cuisine, flora and fauna; his various duties, promotions and positions; personal relationships; family updates; comedic poems and anecdotes; marriage announcement from Holland; post war duty in Holland to sell Canadian vehicles. One letter is from 1944 is from Wilfred’s brother “Mac” Thomas McKay to brother “Cap” Charles Angus Percival McKay. This fonds contains correspondence, diaries, minutes, research material, published and unpublished articles and presentations that document the interests and career of Lenard Findlay. There is also material pertaining to a number of university and external organizations, societies, committees and organizations.

This fonds contains copies of research materials, notes, clippings, articles and correspondence related to the research, writing and publication of books, articles, series, blogs and websites. Also includes original illustrations, poetry, personal photographs and correspondence. It also contains notes, clippings, articles and correspondence related to the research, writing and publication of the book Saskatchewan Heroes and Rogues. Material is organized by the name of the person profiled. : The majority of this fonds is material related to the research for Waiser’s published works. It contains material relating to Waiser’s academic and writing career including instructional material; assessments and referential material; and research and publication activities. The 2023 accrual contains material relating to the significant public recognition of Waiser’s body of work, including his investiture into the Order of Canada; his Governor-General’s Award for Non-Fiction; the Governor-General’s History Award for Popular Media; the Saskatchewan Book Award for Non-Fiction; the Cheryl and Henry Kloppenburg Award for Literary Excellence; the JB Tyrrell Medal (Royal Society); and the Clio Prize Lifetime Achievement Award (Canadian Historical Association), among others. Much of the work included here was created following Waiser’s retirement from the University of Saskatchewan; and includes material relating to his interest in making history accessible to a wide audience.

This album contains over 360 autographs from prominent individuals of the time, including six Prime Ministers (all those who served between 1878-1911); eight Governors-General; 25 cabinet ministers; and over 100 members of parliament, predominantly those who served in the first 10 parliaments [first sitting date to dissolution] between 1867 and 1905. Other individuals of achievement and/or fame in various fields are also represented: scientists; public officials from other countries; diplomats; religious leaders; those in the performing arts. Uniquely, the album also contains several signatures from members of the Royal Family: extremely rare in an album of this kind.

This fonds reflects Holmlund’s interest in the philosophy of education, his varied career at the University of Saskatchewan, and his concern for an equitable society. It is particularly valuable as a source for university history, specifically for the period of Leo Kristjanson’s tenure; and for issues surrounding health delivery, education, and the College of Medicine; the development of computer / IT services on campus; and First Nations educational opportunities. As a reflection of planning at a post-secondary U-15 institution, this fonds is particularly strong, notably for the materials surrounding the Issues and Options project.

This fonds contains the research materials gathered by Catherine Littlejohn King as a part of her career as a historian and writer of Metis history, in particular of Saskatchewan and Metis soldiers. It mainly contains drafts of her writing, copies of articles and other secondary sources, interviews, and biographies. There is also material on general indigenous history and issues, as well as indigenous education and some general material related to Canadian history.
