Foster's cattle going the wrong way

United Church - Melfort, Sask.

This is the original Methodist church built in 1904, 220 Burrows West, and has the distinction of being Melfort's first church. On June 11, 1925 the Melfort Methodist Church became Melfort United Church and the Rev. Mr. Ewing was the first minister. This building was later moved east to allow for the construction of the new United Church. The corner stone for the new church was laid on Sept. 23, 1928.
