Bio/Historical Note: Ronald Edward Alfred Morton was born in Toronto in 1900. Morton went overseas in 1942 as commander of the Fort Garry Horse, a Winnipeg armoured regiment. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order for bravery on 23 December 1944. Morton was stationed in Japan as head of Canada’s Far East Military Mission until 1947, when he was transferred to Regina as area commander for Saskatchewan. Morton died in Toronto in 1976.

Bio/Historical Note: Dorothy (Rutherford) Logan, a graduate of Nutana Collegiate in Saskatoon, enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan (BHSc 1934) in 1929. Rutherford excelled in the 220-yard dash and broad jump, and was an outstanding scorer for the basketball team. As well as competing on the two teams for four years, Rutherford was a member of the University Athletic Directorate, including a term as vice-president. Rutherford received a Major Athletic Award in 1933. She was killed in a car accident in Terre Haute, Indiana, in May 1966.

Bio/Historical Note: Fred (Bud) Carson (1923-2013) enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan (BE 1945) in 1942. He was a member of the Huskies football team for three years and was captain of the team in 1945. Carson was a guard on the basketball team for three years and also played water polo. He was president of the Men's Athletic Board for two years (1943-1945), and also coached the Huskiette basketball team for one year. In 1945 Carson received the Rusty McDonald Trophy for sportsmanship, leadership and athletic ability during his undergraduate years. He married Aldis Peterson (d. 1998), also an inductee into the University of Saskatchewan Athletic Wall of Fame. Carson died in 2013 in Brockville, Ontario at age 90.
