Year Books usually include the following: digest of actions of the Executive Committee; reports of officials, committees and general boards; statistics of the Church by Conference, presbytery and pastoral charge; lists of ministers and pastoral charges by Conference and presbytery; and alphabetical lists of ministers. From 1961 and thereafter, the year book was published in two volumes.

These two volumes contain the treasurer's statement and statistics of the Church by Conference, presbytery and pastoral charge. This information is similar to that published in the Year Book but was prepared specially for use at conferences and was published subsequently in the Year Book.

Contents include: the Constitution and Government of the United Church of Canada; the Administrative Boards, the other local church organizations; and other information concerning the administration of church activities. Each volume includes Historical Statement on the formation of the United Church of Canada.
