Driver Education

The Saskatchewan Bulletin, June 1962; "M. J. Serienko, Driver Education Director, gives City Park Collegiate student Janet Paul a parking pointer. Mr. Serienko says the technical aspects of driver education are secondary to developing a mature sense of responsibility."

Smokejumper

"Smoke Jumper: 32 foot drag chute used in training on the ground. This teaches smokejumpers how to collapse his chute on landing in high winds, thereby preventing him from being injured by dragging."

Relief Project # 44, Dundurn, Saskatchewan

Relief Project # 44 was located in Dundurn, Saskatchewan. The men's camp, pictured here in May, 1935 is at a railroad grade. Men can be seen walking, riding in a truck, and sitting on piles of logs, in a clearing in the bush where large tents have been erected.

Chuck Tolley and his Eatonia rink - Kindersley Bonspiel Winners

From the the Saskatchewan Bulletin, May, 1962, p. 58; "Highlight of the Kindersley School Unit's fraternal activities was the bonspiel for teachers held in March. Nine rinks, representing most of the schools in the unit, played in two events. The championship trophy, a miniature 'Tree of Knowledge' welded by Arthur Douglas, was taken home by skip Chuck Tolley and his Eatonia rink of Vic Rea, Miss J. Biesenthal and Miss G. Asmuth."

School Bus Snowmobile
