Newspaper Vendor, Angus Clunas

Photograph of Angus Clunas from North Battleford with his StarPhoenix bag over his shoulder. Mr. Clunas, a World War I veteran, is a Saskatoon StarPhoenix vendor, and it is estimated that, in the last twenty years or so, he has sold well over a half a million newspapers.

Fifty Year Old Bridge to be Replaced

Retiring Principal Harry Sharp Honoured

Photograph of Mrs. Ken Stewart, of the North Battleford Collegiate Alumni Association, presenting a cheque to retiring prinicpal Harry Sharp. The cheque is to allow Mr. Sharp to visit France and in particular Vimy Ridge. Mr. Sharp served Canada in both World Wars attaining the rank of Brigadier. The money was raised from donations from North Battleford Collegiate grads from all across Canada and parts of the United States.

Truck-Automobile Collision near Denholm, SK

Photograph of a heavily damaged semi-trailer truck lying on its side in the ditch near Denholm, SK. The truck was involved in a collision with two other automobiles in which four people were killed, and five injured. The driver of the truck is in a Saskatoon hospital in serious condition.
