This series has 3 metres of textual records. These are mainly reports commissioned by various Treaty Commissioners but also include the primary documents used to create the reports. The date range for the primary documents is 1700 to the mid 1950s, and most of the reports were completed between 1989 and 2020.
16-page document prepared for London, Ontario "Historic House Signs" (HHS) project. The house was built in 1877 by William and Euphemia Dixon who later moved to Indian Head.
Most of the items relate to the Indian Head Rockets of the Western Canadian Baseball League in the early 1950s - especially the young black American players/teams that drew huge crowds for several years at that time.
141-page softcover book. Contains stories by Jerry Willerth of his childhood and youth on the farm east of Indian Head. Also stories of his many years of farming and involvement in soil conservation organizations - the Saskatchewan Soil Conservation Association, the Soil Conservation Council of Canada and the Indian Head Agricultural Research Foundation. Also stories of his work in the Bell Barn Society and memories by many friends and colleagues about Jerry and his accomplishments.
274-page softcover book. Contains the life stories of Blanche (Morin) Rogers (born 1910), who was born at Indian Head, attended a country school and later became a long-time school teacher herself. The book was assembled and designed by her son, Tom Rogers, and self-published in 2022. Contains many colour photos.
This fonds contains administrative records from the Association; these occasionally include correspondence and clippings; more frequently they include financial reports. Materials related to classes and course offerings as well as special events hosted by the SSCL are also included, as are clippings about and publications by the group.
